Details

Our organization helps people overcome anxiety, depression and addictions without prescription medications by providing support and advocacy to those who need it

We believe this project will include:

  • Virtually facilitating a support group for individuals with addictions mental health issues
  • Being a 'friendly visitor' to socially isolated individuals such as individuals struggling with mental health issues, minorities and newcomers
  • Promoting mental health within communities
  • Grief and loss support
  • Cultural promotion for BIPOC communities through events and initiatives
  • Community outreach, engagement, and/or community development
  • Social justice and/or advocacy work, including social policy research and/or advocacy
Deliverables

The final deliverables should take the form of:

  • A final report
  • Stats of people supported and gap analysis
  • A 30-minute presentation
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project.

Students will get support on culture awareness and promotion.
